The main reasons for changes in FSSC 22000 v 5 are:

•        Publication of the new ISO 22000:2018 standard

•        Inclusion of the Board of Stakeholders list of decisions

•        Compliance with GFSI requirements

•        Continual improvement process

All certified organizations will be audited against Version 5 scheme requirements between 1 January and 31 December 2020. After 29 June 2021, all remaining V4.1 certificates will automatically be set to invalid by the FSSC Portal and will thus no longer be visible in the list of certified organizations on the FSSC 22000 website. Organizations will therefore need to restart with the certification process as per ISO 17021 to re-gain certification.
